Why use Professional Products?

INGREDIENTS!!! First few ingredients on a bottle of shampoo is what the bottle has most of.  First ingredient will be water and last usually a dye.  Toward the top of the list you will notice ammonium laurel sulfate, sodium laurel sulfate, or sodium laureth sulfate.  All these are surfactants.  Surfactants make water wetter or make cleansing agents lather.  Salon products should contain gentler surfactants than store bought shampoo.  Conditioning agents will also be listed as ingredients.  Salon products contain higher quality protein based conditioners or moisturizing conditioners.  This enabling the conditioner to penetrate deeper into the hair shaft and lock in moisture.  The quality ingredients contribute to the cost of the product and is why they are not found in store bought products.  The higher quality ingredients make the products more concentrated so less is needed per use. 

 

If you are going to invest in color, invest in products that will prevent fading and have good moisturizers to keep your hair shiny in our dry climate.  Hair care products purchased from a grocery/drug store are old, expired, or have been modified by diluting the product leaving you with not the true product.
